A Lady's Guide to Improper Behavior Review

A Lady's Guide to Improper BehaviorA Lady's Guide to Improper Behavior by Suzanne Enoch

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A Lady's Guide to Improper Behavior was my first historical romance book, I have never read a romance book with the exception of Nicholas Sparks books. I was browsing through some Harlequin Bianca books with my mom (who loves to read Harlequin Bianca novels), when I saw this book. I must say that the first thing that attracted me toward it was it's cover, I liked the cover art, and then I read the tittle which caught my interest. After reading the title, I could not resist to read the synopsis so I read it and fell under the book's spell. I told my mom that I could not believe that I have just found a book for me in English in that part of the bookstore. Then I bought the book, without thinking it twice. As soon as I finished reading my previous book, I started reading this one, and I just felt in love with the characters, even though I got angry with Colonel Bartholomew James rudeness, and with Theresa's "I have to be proper" attitude. I loved the book, and it made me buy more historical romances.

This is a book that I definitely recommend for any historical romance reader or for a historical romance starter reader like me.

Dear John Review

Dear JohnDear John by Nicholas Sparks

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorite writers, and when I started reading this book I could not put it down, even though I have seen the movie and I had an idea of what was going to happen. I really liked the summer John and Savannah spent together, and the letters they wrote to each other and everything, but I was angry about the marriage between Tim and Savannah. I really didn't like the fact that she just fell in love with someone else, even tough she still loved John, and even worse all this happened while he was serving in the war. I really did not like her treason and the way Tim acted because he knew how much they loved each other, but aside from this I liked the book, because the summer they spent together and the letters were just so magical and perfect, and that is why I give it 4 stars.
